History of Explore Academy - Livonia
The first Explore Academy opened its doors in August 2014 in Albuquerque, NM. Since that time, it has been taken its proven model to new markets to provide an enriched, choice-based education for students in different parts of the country.
​
The school's founding team connected with Central Michigan University in 2020 in the development of a partnership to bring Explore Academy to students in Livonia. The school was awarded its official charter in the fall of 2021 and opened its doors to students and families in the fall of 2022.
