Term 7 Grades

For grade levels 8-12, your course grades for Term 7 will be finalized and posted in PowerSchool on Monday May 3rd, 3pm.


iMMSA Testing

All 6-8 grade students must completed the third and last iMSSA test during term 8. It is the same procedure as October and January, so students should be comfortable with the process now.


6 and 7 grade students will test this week on Wednesday, April 28. ALL students, both in person and virtual, must report to their first period class as usual, including those with first period flex, where their teacher will give them instructions for testing. In person students will have lunch served and buses will run at the normally scheduled times.


8 grade students will take the iMMSA across three days during their flex period during the week of May 10. More information on that test in the coming weeks.


Student Surveillance testing program

The New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) has initiated a student COVID surveillance testing program for all public schools to provide. This student surveillance testing is entirely voluntary and involves us to provide the opportunity for 1% of our students who are currently in, in-person learning. An email was sent out this past week that further explained this process. I f you did not get that email, please click on this link to have access to the form to let us know if you would like your student to participate in the surveillance program or not. Big Future Days Virtual College Fair

Attend a virtual College Fair hosted by College Board. The dates for the virtual college fairs are based on where the colleges are located and you can attend multiple dates. Before you attend BigFuture Days, be sure to save a list of the colleges you are most interested in connect with on BigFuture. If you are unsure about a college, you can check out their website, social media properties, or profile page on BigFuture. BigFuture Day Southeast is on Thursday, April 29

Summer School Choices

As we approach the summer, please review your students’ credit analysis with them. Videos have been posted on the school’s website as an introduction to the credit analysis. The second tab of your student’s credit analysis for high school also shows if your student is on track for graduation under the “Overall Credit Standing”. Students who are behind can take summer school through APS or Rio Rancho Public Schools. If you are unsure if your high school student should sign up for summer school or what classes they should take, please contact the administration team.

Ordering will open on Sundays and will close on Wednesdays each week. Ordering will be for the lunches served the following week.
