History of Explore Academy - Las Cruces
The first Explore Academy opened its doors as a New Mexico state-authorized charter school in August 2014. The founding team applied for Explore Academy - Las Cruces in June of 2019 and in the spring of 2021, the Public Education Department approved the school's charter.
Explore Academy - Las Cruces opened its doors to students in the fall of 2021.
Explore Academy LCS partners with Explore Learning Systems (ELS) to implement the innovative Explore Learning model, an educational framework based on choice that promotes student growth and responsibility while providing an individualized educational path for each student.

LOTTERY INFORMATION
The lottery for grade 5 was
held on April 24, 2023.
The lottery for grades 6-10 was
held on March 9, 2023.
Enrollment emails for accepted students in grades 6-10 should be received by families
on or before April 14th. Acceptance letters for grade 5 will be sent by April 28th. After the lotteries, enrollment will continue as long as seats are still available.
