The Explore Academy Educational Model

Timeline
The school's founding team is preparing to submit its application for a new charter school in June, 2023. Following this, there will be a public community hearing held in July (date TBD) with the final vote from the Public Education Commission to take place in August (date TBD).

HOW CAN YOU HELP?
​
1. Attend the Public Education Commission's Community Input Hearing in person on July 10th (pizza on the PED lawn at 12:00 pm; hearing at Mabry Hall, 300 Don Gaspar Santa Fe, at 1:00 pm)
2. Attend online on July 10th at 1 pm (CLICK HERE TO JOIN)

3. Speak at the Community Input Hearing in favor of the school
4. Submit a letter of support (especially from any local organizations)
5. EVERYONE, whether able to attend or not, can submit a notice of support via the Google form link below which includes your email. The form simply asks for a name, whether in support or opposed, and then "Please tell the Public Education Commission why you support or oppose Explore Academy's charter application."

Application Prep
The application was submitted June 1st and the capacity interview was held on June 28th. Next steps are the Community Input Hearing on July 10th and the Decision Hearing on Aug 25th.
